Saw this randomly across open world, too, espacialy in the abyss passing a fortress.
I dont know what this is or which entity causes this.
Guess it is some corrupt object.

Didnt find the time to record something, my pc's specs are no problem: i7-6700HQ, 16GB Ram, GTX1060, 2x SSD via Sata and only running 1-2 clients with 1-2 as.
I'll try to investigate further today.

Hey, on some paths ive the problem that my char keeps running from node to node but with a little pause when he reaches one node.
